Naturopathic Medicine or Naturopathy is a type of healthcare that uses natural substances and techniques to treat mental, emotional and physical health concerns. A naturopathic physician is concerned with discovering and eliminating the root cause of disease or illness, whether it is chemical, mechanical or psychological.

The foundation of Naturopathic medicine is the healing power of nature. This means that within every human organism there is a healing energy, which includes both physical and mental aspects. This energy is responsible for our ability to heal and maintain health. The therapies used to support and stimulate this healing power must be in gentle and noninvasive.

To accomplish these goals, Naturopathic medicine incorporates many therapeutic modalities including herbal medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, physical therapy, manipulation, and nutrition & lifestyle counseling, etc.

Naturopathic medicine treats a range of conditions from chronic to acute and has preventative applications. Therefore, people can consult Naturopathic practitioners for everything from the common cold to cancer.
